Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using CheckAut ("the App"), you agree to the following Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Service description
CheckAut is a mobile application that allows users to register vehicles, track associated expenses, and create personalized reminders for each vehicle.
2. User account
To use the App you must sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account confidential and for all activity that occurs under it.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the App for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
- Attempt to access other users' data without authorization.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the App or its servers.
4. User content
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into the App (vehicle data, expenses, and reminders). CheckAut does not verify or guarantee the accuracy of this information.
5. Subscription
CheckAut offers CheckAut Pro, an auto-renewing subscription through Google Play Billing, that unlocks additional vehicles, documents for each vehicle, PDF export of total expenses, and support for SOAT, RTM, and invoices. You can choose to be billed monthly or annually; each option's price is shown in the App in your local currency, as determined by Google Play for your region. We do not currently offer a free trial.
Renewal and cancellation: CheckAut Pro renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or annual, whichever you chose) unless you cancel before that date. You can cancel at any time from the Google Play Store (Menu > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions) or by deleting your account from the App, which cancels auto-renewal for you. After canceling, you keep Pro access until the end of the period already paid for; you won't be charged again.
Difference between canceling the subscription and deleting your account: if you only cancel the subscription (without deleting your account), you keep your account and all your data, but once the paid period ends your plan reverts to Free — nothing you already created is deleted or hidden, you simply can't create new content beyond the free plan's limits. If you delete your account instead, everything is permanently erased (see the "Delete account" tab).
Refunds: purchases and subscriptions are subject to Google Play's refund policies. This does not limit any non-waivable rights that applicable consumer protection law in your place of residence may grant you.
6. Reminders and notifications
Reminders are a personal support tool that you configure freely. You can assign any title to a reminder and associate it with any vehicle you choose. CheckAut does not validate or verify the content of the reminders you create.
7. Service availability
We strive to keep the App available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee the service will be free of interruptions, errors, or technical failures at all times.
8. Limitation of liability
CheckAut is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including data loss.
9. Account deletion
You can delete your account and all your data at any time from the App's settings section. Doing so will permanently remove your access to your vehicle, expense, and reminder history.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms of Use occasionally. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms of Use.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute related to them will be submitted to the competent courts of Colombia, without prejudice to any non-waivable rights that applicable consumer protection law in your place of residence may grant you.
